Aimee Mann The highly acclaimed singer songwriter perhaps best known for her Oscar nominated song "Save Me" from the Magnolia soundtrack. Mann has always been known for her clever, literate, and dryly witty takes on emotional sabotage and self-destruction. She will be making her debut at the Paramount.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - A Hundred Years of Cab Calloway BBVD is credited for the 90’s revival of big band music. They’ve sold over three million albums with their infectious brand of retro-swing, and career highlights include performing at the Super Bowl with Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estephan and being featured in the cult classic film Swingers. BBVD comes to the Paramount on their album release tour, a tribute to the great swing pioneer Cab Calloway. The album, entitled “How Big Can You Get” will be released April 21st, 2009.
Mighty Theater Company presents "Rhinoceros" by Eugene Ionesco The Paramount's Theater Company in Residence, the Mighty Theater Company presents Rhinoceros by master playwright Eugene Ionesco. Rhinoceros takes place in a world turned upside-down, where the residents of a small town in France are amazed to find a rhinoceros stampeding through the square one morning with no explanation. Trying to determine where the Rhino came from and why it is here, they must also contend with the sudden and steady vanishings of the town's population. Comic, tragic, vaudevillian, allegorical, absurd, and deeply, deeply meaningful, Rhinoceros is theater gone wild.
